Amazon announced a new ad-supported version of the Kindle. Lets get the facts:
- Screensavers show advertisements when Kindle is not in use.
- Ads are shown Full screen or at the bottom of home screen
- They don't interrupt your reading session
- You save $25.

While we are not against all forms of advertising (Hey, it pays the bills), we find it a bit strange that Amazon has decided to incorporate them into their electronic book reader. It would be understandable if the Ad-Kindle was under $50, this would be a huge amount off the regular price and many people would gladly deal with the advertisements for that kind of discount. Think about this: You buy the Ad-Kindle and save $25, turns out, you have that book reader for 5 years, is it worth it? Probably not. Unless you don't read very much we would recommend that you pick up a regular version, because do you really want to see yet another advertisement when you are trying to read a book?
