Get your credit cards ready folks, Alex is finally ready. We didn't think this eBook reader would actual make it to the manufacturing stage so we are especially happy to see this one launch. You can pre-order this eReader from their website, unless you already bought an iPad last week?
This new entry to the market boasts two screens, one of your standard 6" screens (although this one is EPD vs e-Ink) Same concept, different company making the screen. The device sports a 3.5" color touch screen on the bottom running Android OS, which makes this a cool little device. Alex weighs 11 ounces which is very good considering the screen weight on the 3.5" must be substantial. We were a little disappointed at their illustration comparing the Alex to Kindle and Nook and seem to think they should expand on it a bit to remove bias. Other than that, this device is pretty nice looking.
I guess the industry leaders have nothing compared to Alex!
